Today's offering features this classic Omega done in a military style. Beginning in 1941 and for a few years following Omega made these ref. 2149 watches for both civilian and U.S. Army use. Our is one of the civilian watches.
To meet military specifications the watches used robust movements and were cased in heavy steel cases and often featured luminous "eccentric" dials, as is the the case with the watch showcased here.
The watch is signed Omega down to the later period crown. The dial and all hands are fully original. The case is in pleasing condition. It presents as a full size plus watch given it's 35mm diameter and then its large crown.
Our watchmaker has freshly cleaned and oiled the movement, and we have installed a new croc strap making it ready for immediate enjoyment. It could also be dressed down and would look great on an olive NATO style strap.
Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate.
